Terms of Service
Effective date: May 8, 2026
Pecas is a beta product built by one person. These terms are short because the situation is simple: use the app in good faith, don't try to break it, and understand it might break on its own. By signing in, you agree to these terms.
The beta deal
Pecas is in active development. Features will change, occasionally regress, and very occasionally lose data. There is no service-level guarantee. If you're using Pecas to plan a high-stakes trip, keep a backup of the important details somewhere else — a note in your phone, a shared doc, the bottom of a group chat.
Your account
- One account per person. Use accurate info — at minimum, a real email address you control.
- You're responsible for activity on your account. Don't share your sign-in.
- You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@pecas.co.
Acceptable use
Don't use Pecas to do things that would obviously make a reasonable person uncomfortable. Specifically: no harassing other users, no uploading illegal content, no scraping, no automated abuse of the AI features, no probing for security vulnerabilities (if you find one, please email us — see below), no impersonating other people, no reselling access to the service.
Your content
The trips, gear lists, itineraries, and other content you create are yours. By using Pecas, you grant us a limited license to store and display that content as needed to operate the app — including sharing it with people you invite to a trip.
AI-generated suggestions (itineraries, gear lists, cost estimates, photos) are produced by third-party models on demand and are provided for convenience only. Verify before relying on them — especially anything safety-related (weather, route conditions, gear adequacy for the actual conditions you'll face).
Our content
The Pecas name, logo, and design are ours. The app itself, including its code and copy, is ours. You're welcome to use Pecas as a user — not to copy or repackage the product.
No warranty
Pecas is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The AI features are best-effort: their output may be inaccurate, out of date, or unsuitable for your situation, and you're responsible for the decisions you make based on it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pecas and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. For free accounts, total liability is capped at $50; for paid accounts, total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
You can stop using Pecas and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that put the service or other users at risk — we'll give notice when we reasonably can.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is material, we'll update the effective date at the top and, if you have an account, send you an email. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
